Fall is for layers! So it's time to talk Kimonos! I actually saw some Kimonos this summer, it's a trend that transitions well Spring and Fall. Great for in-between temps when you can still show a little leg but long sleeve and suede booties are appropriate. And OH! these OTK Boots are SO good (tts, very comfy)!

I shared this  DESTROYED DENIM SKIRT  recently and it was so popular on Instagram I just had to style it in a different way for the blog. You can see my original styling HERE. It's such a versatile and surprisingly comfortable staple piece for Fall... who am I kidding all seasons. The perfect wardrobe addition! DENIM  is a great all season staple because it's thick enough for Fall and comfy enough for the warmer months.  DESTROYED DENIM SKIRT, in particular, is really on trend this season and there are so many ways to wear them.

You could pair this
LACE KIMONO with a cami and some cute shorts or a favorite pair of skinny jeans, or even with a cute casual band/distressed tee (another SUPER popular trend).

The top I chose to pair the
LACE KIMONO with is a really affordable and very comfortable  LONG LAYERING CAMI. I love that the variation of lengths s go together seamlessly, and although similar, there is still enough contrast to keep the outfit interesting. And the best part? My top is Sold out, but I found one similar and it is only $22! Yes, $22. Another incredible Fall staple you can wear over and over and over. You could even pair this with a longer, more streamlined Cardigan for work with a nice pair of nude or leopard pumps!

Speaking of shoes, my
OTK BOOTS are one of my favorite purchases of the WHOLE YEAR! Which is really saying something y'all... because I've made a lot of purchases haha! They are definitely more of a splurge but absolutely worth it to me because of how often I will wear them, how long I will keep them, and how long I can wear them from a comfort perspective. And they are just so versatile and pair easily with all kinds of outfits.

I've linked similar pieces, below!

Now, for the best part of this blog post!!

Beaded Weave Hair Extensions.

As you all know I have written a post all about my experience with the various hair extensions I have had.

I have to say, honestly, these beaded weave hair extensions are by far my favorite extensions to date!

I  have officially had my new hair since October 5th, 2018!! To say I love my new hair is a huge understatement! I have been obsessed! I seriously love what Lindsay, the hair goddess, the beaded weave hair extensions queen over at her salon Elle B Salon.

What does Elle B stand for you wonder? I asked and wondered the same thing.. Lindsay Binkley-  Elle (L) and then the B for her last name! She didn't want it to be LBS because that also means "pounds"
Lindsay owns the 2 salons!

Lindsay has been doing hair for 18 years, so to say she is an expert would be an insult, Lindsay is a Master when it comes to hair and everything extensions! I wish I had known and gone to her all of these years. It is crazy how I follow a bunch of hair accounts to get hair inspiration from, and always wished there was someone in Colorado that could make my hair come to life like all of these inspo pictures. Well, I found just that... Lindsay, she gave me life again! I swear the picture I showed her she made ten times better! I am so obsessed and now won't have anyone else touch my hair if I have any say in the matter!  Lindsay is a mommy of a handsome little guy, a wife to a hard working man, a salon owner, a teacher, a world traveler these are just to name a few of the great things that Lindsay is a part of.

As you all know I have tried all of the extensions, fusion, tape in, beads, sewn in with a crochet needle & now my favorite beaded weave hair extensions!

My experience step-by-step

First, I went in two weeks before Oct 5th and had my consultation and had my beaded (micro link) extensions taken out.

Second, The day of Oct 5th I had my hair colored to match the beaded weave extensions that I was getting. Once I was colored I then had in between photos taken. This new hair of mine is all part of a transformation that Lindsay is doing. Lindsay has her own academy that she teaches all of her techniques. There was a lot of filming and photos being taken for all of her students to watch and be able to virtually take her class.

Third, my beaded weave hair extensions were placed, my excitement overcame me, we took more photos, and I am obsessed!

Caring for my extensions

I have to say caring for these are no different than caring for any other extensions!
you need to take care of them since they aren't attached to your scalp.

You will need a good oil from the middle of your head to the ends, a good shampoo, and conditioner!I was supplied with all three of these from Lindsay, and I have to say I love this brand as well! I will try to find them online and link them HERE (oil), HERE (shampoo), and HERE (conditioner)!
Dry shampoo is and will always be a holy grail for me! I will link mine HERE!

Purple Shampoo
I tried purple shampoo on this set of extensions, and I have to say I didn't like the purple tone it left behind. These beaded weave hair extensions don't need the purple shampoo, my hair needs the toning. This is something I will need to get into the salon for.

Wet Brush
I use a wet brush for my hair, this isn't any different than what I have always used. I normally brush out my hair prior to hopping in the shower and brush it straight away when I get out of the shower, along with my oil and brush it through my hair.

Oil/Styling
I place my oil in my hair and then blow dry right away. I don't like how my hair air dries, so blowdrying is a must.

Pools/Spas
If and when I get in the pool or hot tub at the gym, I keep my hair up in a top knot or a braid. This is a new thing I do with these beaded weave extensions.

Sleeping
I always sleep with my hair in a top knot. This has helped with styling and keeping my hair style all week long. I can go a full 7 days with only 1 day of dry shampoo before I wash my hair.

FAQ?
When do you go back in to get the beaded weave hair extensions lifted?
~4-6 weeks ( I am about due)

How long did it take to put these beaded weave hair extensions in?

~ I honestly was at the salon from 8a-4p but that was with coloring my hair and filming (it should only take you 2-4 hours) I am not the expert, every person is different

How much did these beaded weave hair extensions cost?

~ This is always my most FAQ, with my other extensions I was able to tell you all the price. Will Elle B every person's head is a different size and shape, they cater your hair and what you need specifically. There isn't a set price for the type of obsession you will have over your new hair! I am fortunate enough to be partnering with Lindsay & Elle B Salon.

How long will these beaded weave hair extensions last?

~ I have been able to stretch my hair extensions for 7 full good months and have a bad habit of keeping them in past that time and they are all thinned out from natural shedding. I have had a set for 10 months. I would recommend going in and getting your normal checkups every 4-6 weeks and at your, 6-month mark make sure your hair still is luscious, otherwise, you may need to swap them out.

What type of hair is this?

~ This is real human hair  (thank you to those women that so generously have shared with yours truly)

Why do you get beaded weave hair extensions?

I honestly love have full thick hair. I want lots of it. No other reason than I want lots of long hair. My hair has been short, long, straight, curly, highlighted, dyed. I just love the way I feel and look with a full head of hair! It helps me with my confidence. I get told all the time "you don't need them" I know, I want them!

Do you think these beaded weave hair extensions are less damaging?

I want to say these are less damaging. You only have the rows that your weft is attached to that is at risk for damage, as opposed to individual sections of hair being at risk. Again, this is a great question to ask a professional. Lindsay is really good at finding which extensions will work best for you and your hair as well as your end goal.

Which type is your favorite now that you have tried them all?

~I love the beaded weave! These are an Instagram obsession right now. I have to say, I became obsessed with these beaded weave hair extensions because of the way they look across Instagram. They have definitely held up their reputation! I want to say if I did the micro link with Lindsay I would be really happy with those as well. The beads are so small. I had huge beads from a prior hair company.

What happened to your last extension gal?

~I love her too, she is actually a family friend. She was only able to offer the beads and unfortunately, the beads that she used was from a company that had huge beads, so even if I didn't ever find Lindsay I wouldn't have had my beads replaced. I was searching to have the beaded weave placed, and wanted the huge beads taken out.

I haven't changed my workout routine, my work hair routine, my home life hair routine one bit with these beaded weave hair extensions. I  care for all of my extensions to make them last as long as possible. They are an investment, if you are good to them, they will be good to you!

I will show before and after photos and once I get my video I will share that transformation with you all as well!!
