The Best Hair Products for keeping my hair Icy and cool

I have also learned that hard water is bad for bleach blondes, the minerals make the blondes turn yellow, So with me washing my hair once every 5-6 days I don't have the hard water damaging my hair. I have thought about purchasing a water softener for the house.... to be continued on that.

All talk of extensions

What types of extensions are there?
Tape-In
Keratin Tip
I-Tips
Sew-In
Clip-In

Which extensions have you tried or do you have?
Tape-In ✔ (these I thought were awkward and pulled my hair, I had them for 1 day, I hated them so much I had them removed asap)

Keratin Tip ✔ (I loved these, they were my favorite. I had these for ever! I had them for at least 4 years- These destroyed my hair too. The bonds left my hair super brittle and I had to chop my hair off to shoulder length and start over

I-Tip ✔ (these are what I currently have- and so far I love them!)

Clip-In ✔ (these are also one of my favorites, I have worn the Luxy brand, but my favorite brand were the Bellami. I rocked the Guy Tang balayage clip ins for years. I just hated having to clip them in and I wanted to wake up with amazing hair and not have to take the time to style my hair and style the clip ins.)

Sew-In (I have NOT tried these.... yet) I have Eyed Chrissy Rassmusen's hair page for the past few months.

Who does your hair?
Kari Bogner at Clemintines in LoHi Colorado- If you go to her, be sure to mention I sent you!!
Kari is my hair "goddess"

How long did it take?
Application takes 1.5- 4 hours. I went from having thin hair to having #hairgoals.

Quality of the hair:
I was so impressed with the softness of the hair, the volume and length that it gave me- They are so long I didn't want to cut them.

How long will these extensions last?
This is my first time, so I will keep you posted. I have already had my 8 week lift. I went to have my hair re- balayaged after 8 weeks prior Kari had made me super icy blonde. I am a crazy person when I have roots showing and they aren't blended, so to keep up with my hair growth I have to be balayage blonde. I would need to get my hair bleached every week and a half to two weeks to keep from seeing my roots, which is way too high maintenance for me.

I have been told that these hair extensions will last a year. I cant wait to see if they do. So far after 8 weeks I am impressed with how the hair has held up.

  • Maintenance:
  • Avoid use of oils or silicone-based products near the attachment. If you take care of your hair, then your extensions will last. ( I typically wash my hair once every 5 or 6 days and of those days only use hot tools 1-2 days.)

  • Reapplication:
  • 6 - 9 weeks

  • Life span:
  •  6-12 months

How does the I-tip work?
BH extensions are installed with a strand-by-strand application, without using heat or glue, this is an especially great application for those with thinning hair around their hairline.
Application is achieved by threading each I-tip and a strand of the client’s hair into the BH looping tool, through a BH looping bead and then attached by clamping the bead to the clients hair. BH uses high quality copper beads with protective silicone lining which is the most gentle on hair.

How many bundles did you use?
I purchased 4- each bead of BH hair Is 2gms. It is a ton of hair. I used almost 3 bundles. Each BH pack has 25 strand and each strand is 2gms. So now I have extra for next time. I have about 75 beads which means I have 150 grams of hair attached to my head.

How long is your hair?
Honestly I am not sure... The extensions are 22ins, that is how they come and I had her cut 4-5 inches off so....

Do you use any specific products or tools for your extensions?
don't do anything different with my hair, I use a wet brush which happens to be the brush that is recommended for this type of extension, and I have used this type of brush or my old Bellami brush that came with my clip in extensions.

I hope this has helped answer some questions for you all!
Happy Hair flipping!
